Historic ‘One & Half Million Dollar Campaign’
Towards the Rebuilding of
R’ Shayala’s Holy Shul
At the time that Klal Yisroel prepares with awe and reverence for the momentous day of the yahrzeit, the board members of the “Hachnosas Orchim of R’ Shayala’s House” have announced a massive fundraising campaign to complete the purchase of the “Heiliger Bais Hamedrash” for which the Tzaddik personally raised funds with tremendous mesiras nefesh.
Now when the sanctified property will be returned to holiness after so many years of ownership by foreigners, Klal Yisroel has an opportunity to take part in restoring the shul to its former glory.
The enthusiasm is particularly great among longtime supporters and admirers of Kerestir, to fulfill the deepest longing and desire of the Tzaddik, who wrote the following in letters to his Chassidim:
“Dear Friends, help me rebuild my Bais Medrash!”
And a specific additional request:
“Influence other good friends”,
persuade others to contribute to rebuild my shul
No explanation is necessary for these powerful words, which ignite a fire in the hearts of Jews worldwide, to contribute generously and partner in the rebuilding of the shul.
The Tzaddik’s further request was to convince others to donate and help cover the large expenses. A holy location maintains its holiness forever, and so, Klal Yisroel will continue to fulfill this fervent command and help redeem the sacred building from its surrounding impurity.

קדושה ראשונה קדשה לשעתה ולעתיד לבוא, אצינד וועט כלל ישראל ממשיך זיין און מקיים זיין מגמת נפשו, אויספאלגן דעם בקשה און ציווי, און העלפן מיט דאס אפקויף פונעם בנין להוציא יקר מזולל, און דאס אהערשטעלן אויף א פראכטפולער פארנעם, צו קענען דינען אלס א מקום לתורה ולתפלה פאר די טויזנטער אידן וועלכע קומען דורכאויס די יאר מתפלל זיין אין קערעסטיר. דאס וועט זיין דאס שטערקסטע התקשרות צום צדיק, מיט'ן מקיים זיין רצון קדשו, וואס ער האט זיך געבעטן ביי כלל ישראל מ'זאל ארויסהעלפן אהערשטעלן דעם מקום קדוש.
